Neumarkt, Germany, 28 August 2002 - The Business Unit track systems
of Pfleiderer AG, of Neumarkt, Germany, will premier its new corporate
image for the general public this year at InnoTrans 2002 in Berlin. The
focal point of the fair presentation will be on newly developed variations
of Pfleiderer ballastless track systems for railways and urban traffic. The
company will use four models in conjunction with computer animation to
demonstrate the great variety of possible applications of these track
systems - which have now developed to become one complete product
family.
RHEDA 2000® is the ballastless track system for high-speed mainline
traffic, for which it has become part of standard solutions today. The
body of the track system and the sleepers are made of concrete and
constitute a monolithic entity. On the basis of the system technology
implemented throughout, the RHEDA 2000® is ideal for application on
earthwork foundations, on bridges, in tunnels, for turnouts, and with
vibration-protected mass-spring systems. The employment of noise
absorbers enables damping of wheel and driving noise. On the ICE line
newly opened between Cologne and Rhine/Main Pfleiderer AG delivered
over 180,000 special sleepers for the monolithic track type.
